About the Filmmaker

PatrĂcia Nogueira (Porto, Portugal) is a documentary filmmaker, producing and directing her own documentaries and working regularly in other directors’ films, both documentary and fiction. Documentary was the way she chose to express herself about the surrounding world and her inner concerns.

She likes to deeply know people, try to understand them, create a relationship and give them a voice. In her first feature documentary, 3 Hours to Love, Patricia pursues her favorite topic and tries to engage audiences through women’s emotions and sexuality.

She usually says, “It’s a feminine film from a feminine point of view.” The film won the award for Best Documentary at Viana do Castelo Cinema Meetings (2013) and was officially selected for DocLisboa (2013), Cine Las Americas (2014), FEST (2014), and Berlin Feminist Film Week (2015).
