Magdalena Lamprecht Wallhoff, MPH, has a background in global public health and now works in rural food production internationally. Her work to raise awareness about the power of the private sector to positively impact rural communities garnered her the recognition of Aquaculture Person of the Year in 2014. She was raised in a Muslim society in Indonesia, and now works in the United States and Central America.
She recently launched women’s domestic violence and harassment workshops in rural communities in Honduras and Mexico. Magdalena was born in Switzerland, and currently lives in Seattle, WA, with her three children.
