A film by Alysse Stepanian (USA/2009/5:41).

Iranian-born Alysse Stepanian moved to the US shortly after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. “Roghieh,” based on Alysse's dream journal, paints a surreal picture of the beginning of the Iranian Revolution when it empowered the underprivileged who helped overthrow of an elitist regime. Alysse grabs a broom as a weapon symbolizing a new found strength. She jumps into the revolution, a young girl caught in the middle of great social changes and role reversals.
