Dardasha Synopsis

Four intimate stories of 1st generation Moroccan women who migrated to the UK between 1960 and 1990 and settled in the Portobello area of London – an area which continues to be at the heart of the Moroccan diaspora in the UK. The film examines emotional, social and financial issues facing Moroccan women migrants to the UK.

The Dardasha project was funded by the Heritage Lottery and directed by author Samantha Herron.
