Women’s Voices Now (WVN) leverages the medium of film to challenge oppressive paradigms that stand in the way of women’s equality. One of the ways we carry out our mission is through multimedia workshops.
Workshops are centered around films from our international archive that feature a wide array of stories about women. From the individual level (workshop participants) to the community level (attendee of workshop showcases), our workshops foster awareness, inspire action, and build confidence and solidarity within and among communities.
Workshops combine film with photography, poetry, creative writing, filmmaking, and other modes of creative expression based on the needs of the community. These are offered free of charge to participants and are primarily available to underrepresented populations of women and men. They are carried out by WVN Workshop Facilitators or a facilitator from your community.
