About the Filmmaker

Ebony Washington was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production with a focus on Television Writing. Her experience in the industry began on “The Maury Povich Show” and “Orange is the New Black”. She is a former Executive Assistant to showrunner, Krista Vernoff, and currently Writers’ Assistant on Grey’s Anatomy.

I want parents to talk about race with their children and recognize how their perspective on the world and on people easily becomes their children’s perspective. Racism and hatred are taught. Have these conversations and expose your children to different types of people. Let them create their own points of view on the world.
