A Mother's Gift

"A Mother's Gift" is a painful story about Rahima, a human rights worker in Police District 13. At age thirteen, Rahima was forced to marry a warlord in Bamiyan, a central province in Afghanistan. Family problems resulted in the murder of Rahima's brother by her warlord husband. Now, she struggles to provide for her mother, who had forced her to marry the warlord husband, and her two adopted children. She feels alone in her struggles but tries to remain strong. [TRAILER]
